Interviewing Quick Reference - It is the policy of Johnson County Government to hire and retain individuals based upon their relative merits, abilities, experience, ambition, and availability to best serve the public interest without regard to factors such as: race, color, gender, religion, creed (statement of beliefs), national origin, political affiliation, or disability. Here is a resource for sharpening your interviewing skills

Workforce Trends & Analysis (2008 PDF) - Workforce trends and analysis is the alignment of an organizations human capital with its strategic direction and is accomplished through systematically and routinely evaluating workforce data. It links the organization’s mission to success through its people. Workforce planning is one component of a larger picture that involves brainstorming possibilities, analyzing data and trends, making informed decisions, and having knowledgeable leadership that guides the County’s efforts to achieve desired outcomes. By systematically and routinely evaluating workforce data to assess employees’ attributes, then aligning that information with the current and projected needs and goals of the organization, the organization is able to have the right people with the right competencies in the right place at the right time.

The purpose of any given report is to provide a snapshot of workforce data, and to articulate trends and issues of concern to Johnson County Government as an employer. Each report is a numerical expression of a multi-year “people plan” that represents a majority of the organization’s overall budget.

Workforce Planning Archives - (2007.pdf) (2006 DOC), (2005 PDF), (2004 PDF), (2003 DOC), (2002 DOC)
