Applicant Information
Below are general questions regarding the application process. If you would like
additional information, please contact us.
How long do jobs remain open?
The duration of time that a position remains open varies. Johnson County Government includes closing date information on all position announcements. Positions are posted for a minimum of six business days; however, positions may remain open longer.
Will I be considered for all jobs on the list?
You must apply separately for each position that you are interested in. Johnson County Government will not match your resume to other openings, so it is important that you specify your interest in each specific position.
When will I hear if I am being considered for the job?
We will mail an acknowledgement postcard to you once we have received and processed your application/resume. Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted typically within 2-3 weeks of the initial job posting. If you are not selected for an interview, then you will not be contacted other than the initial acknowledgement card.
Do I need to apply again if I am interested in another position?
Yes, you must apply for each opening of interest to you separately.
