What is CSEP?
CSEP (County Supported Employment Partnership) is a very unique alliance of County employees whose goal is to connect departments with individuals currently being served by Johnson County Mental Health Community Support Services (CSS) and Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) departments. They have many individuals who are ready and willing to work. The program focuses on individual competitive job placement. Several County departments have already taken advantage of some of our services.
What Can CSEP Do For You?
1. Initial job assessments to evaluate particular jobs and skills are required to see if a successful match can be made at no charge to the employer.
2. Candidates are available for regular job positions, although they may choose to do short volunteer assignments (typing, filing, etc.) with the assistance of a job coach to assess their skills and help them gain useful experience.
3. Candidates are also available to fill temporary work assignments eliminating the need to utilize staffing agencies.
4. Candidates, if qualified, would be hired directly into County positions at a County department’s discretion.
5. Contract services are available to employers that would include a team of workers to fill open position(s). You only pay for the actual number of vacancies you wish to fill, not the total number of candidates who come to work for you. (Contact Sherry Suddarth 754-8215).
