Behavior Values
Johnson County Government's behavior values are the fundamental principles and beliefs that guide judgment, decision making, and conduct. They include:
- Courtesy: We shall recognize people as individuals, be considerate of time, give proactive support, and welcome the interests and diversity of others.
- Humor: We shall laugh with one another, recognize and celebrate accomplishments, and use humor in a sensitive and caring manner.
- Integrity: We shall be truthful, openly share information, honor codes of conduct, ensure that our actions match our words, and demonstrate our loyalty to each other and the County.
- Respect: We shall actively request ideas without prejudging, problem solve in an open and positive manner, take a genuine interest in others, and take a visible and outward stand against prejudice.
- Understanding: We shall make time available, be attentive to ideas, practice the art of listening, and provide supportive feedback.
